Instead of watching earth in front of us, we prefer layout in front the tv and watch what is happening most of the time with a lack of interest. What is happening on earth is less important that the next tattoo we are going to make and leave under the skin? I think this is almost similar instead of the lifetime of both marks we leave on earth as a tattoo, our print, our scare, the sign of our pathway, our life. Mother Earth is receiving everyday signal from us, she knows us very well by now but are weas awarded as she is. Under the sea, above the sky, into the land we walking close to her, she isn’t only an environment for fish, bird and animals, she also is our lovely surrounding, our water and air. In order to preserve earth beauty and natural places from any human tattoo.

In practice : Natura 2000 is a network of core breeding and resting sites for rare and threatened species, and some rare natural habitat types which are protected in their own right. It stretches across all 27 EU countries, both on land and at sea. The aim of the network is to ensure the long-term survival of Europe's most valuable and threatened species and habitats, listed under both the Birds Directive and the Habitats Directive.

The Natura 2000 Viewer is an online tool that presents all Natura 2000 sites. It provides key information on designated species and habitats, data on population sizes and information on conservation status. The viewer can be used for general purposes of for more specific searches.

Natura 2000 is not a system of strict nature reserves from which all human activities would be excluded. While it includes strictly protected nature reserves, most of the land remains privately owned. The approach to conservation and sustainable use of the Natura 2000 areas is much wider,
largely centered on people working with nature rather than against it. However, Member States must ensure that the sites are managed in a sustainable manner, both ecologically and economically.

Where the Natura 2000 sites are located?
How they are managed and how Member States can better protect nature by working together across Europe? The European Commission's biogeographical process provides a co-operation platform to stakeholders and managers of the Natura 2000 network ?

We will answer to those questions into the next post.
